* The undersigned hereby makes application for entry in the Annie Oakley Days Parade and agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the Annie Oakley Committee, Inc. governing the parade.
*Applicant understands that the Annie Oakley Committee, Inc. WILL NOT be responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from the applicants participation in the Annie Oakley Days Parade and further releases the Annie Oakley Committee, Inc. and the City of Greenville , Ohio from any liability.
*  Applicant agrees to indemnify the Annie Oakley Committee, Inc. for any damages caused by the applicants participation in the Annie Oakley Days Parade.

* The Parade Committee is committed to be better than ever. We are placing emphasis on Annie Oakley Themes, Equestrian units, Marching bands & Community minded organizations.
* Our hope is to have EVERY village and town in Darke County represented.

Annie Oakley Days Parade Rules and Regulations

Annie Oakley Days Parade line up shall begin in the Greenville City Park near the Garst Museum in Greenville. You will be notified of your line up with your confirmation letter. Units may begin line-up at 7:00 AM. All units desiring to be judged must be lined up and ready no later than 8:30 AM. The parade will begin at 10:00 AM. All times noted are Ohio time.

Units will be judged in the following categories: YOUTH - 4-H, scouts, school, etc., COMMERCIAL - business sponsored units, NON-COMMERCIAL - churches, festivals, social clubs, etc. MAYOR'S CHOICE - open, and MISS ANNIE OAKLEY'S CHOICE - open. Entries will be judged on Annie Oakley theme, originality, and general appeal.

Political entries will be float entries by major political parties only. All candidates for public office must ride on their political party float. Elected political office holders participating in the parade are by invitation only. No "Elect or Re-elect" slogans permitted except on party floats. NO floats of a socially sensitive or political nature will be allowed.

The Parade Committee and/or the Annie Oakley Festival Board reserves the right to reject any application. Parade entries will be limited to the best entries as chosen by the Annie Oakley Committee. The parade chairperson has the final authority on matters arising on parade day.

OBEY ALL RULES and cooperate with Police Officers and Parade Officials to ensure the safety and well being of everyone involved. THROWING OBJECTS OF ANY KIND FROM YOUR UNIT (MOTOR OR WALKING) IS PROHIBITED AND ILLEGAL. A violation of this rule (and city ordinance) will result in removal from the parade and a fine of up to $100.00 from Greenville Mayor's Court. Children do not think of the danger involved in running into the street. Do not encourage or entice spectators to come out onto the parade route.

Once you start the parade route, NO ONE WILL BE PERMITTED to get off or on to your unit, as it is moving along the parade route. Remember that children do not think of the danger involved in this type of activity.

Participants are responsible for cleanup around their line-up area before the parade begins.

Consumption of alcohol or other intoxicants is not permitted in or along the parade route.

Any violation of the proceeding rules will make the applicant ineligible for participation in this parade and future parades. The Annie Oakley Committee, Inc. reserves the right to amend these rules and regulations and all decisions of the committee shall be final.
