Rolling Pin, Pole Throwing contests part of festivities this year.
The Rolling Pin Throwing contest is set to take place at the Annie Oakley Festival on Friday, at 6pm. Participants must sign up at the festival headquarters at the fairgrounds. The first 25 ladies to signup will be able to throw. Who ever throws the farthest wins. First, second and third place winners will receive KitchenAid products and gift certificates. (Must be 18 and older to enter)
The Pole Throwing contest will be held Sunday, 1pm. The first 25 gentlemen ages 18 and over can compete. The log is 10-12 feet long and 6-8 inches round. The fellow able to throw the log at the farthest end over end at a straight 12 o’clock will win. Prizes will be given for first, second, and third place.
