Child must be between the age of 3-5 years old by or on July 21, 2026. The child does NOT need to reside in Darke County to be eligible to compete.

Please have your child at the contest location (Under Entertainment Tent), by 5:45 PM on July 21, 2026.

 

• The contest will begin at 6:00 PM.

• Contestants are encouraged to wear Annie Oakley or Buffalo Bill attire and will be judged accordingly.

• The winners will be required to be in the parade on Saturday, July 25th.

There will also be a Most Photogenic Contest.

• Please include a 5 x 7 or smaller photograph with no enhancements with your application and entry fee.

• Please make sure the picture is labeled with your child’s name and address. Your picture will be returned at the time of the contest.

Details:

• Contestants will be judged on originality of attire outfit appropriate to Annie/Bill theme, personality, poise, and stage presence. All Judge’s decisions are final and will not be questioned.

• A vehicle will be provided for the 1st Place Little Miss Annie Oakley and 1st Place Little Mr Buffalo Bill, as well as the Most Photogenic.

• All other contestants are welcomed and encouraged to be in the parade also, and will be riding with the contestants of the Miss Annie Oakley Competition as well as the Past Miss Annie Oakleys. (Instructions will be given as to what time you will need to arrive at the staging area for the parade and what number position you will be in the parade).
